Department of internal cardiology of XinQiao hospital which is attached to the third military university traces its history back to the year of 1953.The department gains its great reputation for the famous cardiology experts, modernized medical equipments and facilities, advanced clinical therapies and techniques as well as the largest cardiac ward scale with 120 inpatient beds in the southwest of China.
    The department is granted as the key department of the nation, the internal cardiology research institution of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA), the key cardiology laboratory of the PLA and not to mention so many other titles such as the internal cardiology research institution of ChongQing ,the key cardiology laboratory of ChongQing and the key department of ChongQing .It is authorized to confer master’s degree In 1978 , doctor’s degree in 1996 and granted as clinical post-doctoral station in 1998. The staff of the department includes Six professors, eight associate professors ,four doctor tutor and eight master tutor .Eighteen staff of the department got doctor’s degree and nine of them got master’s degree.
    The department is constituted by internal cardiac ward , coronary care unit, clinical consulting room, cardiac catheterization room and cardiac laboratory. More than 420 academic articles written by the staff of the department are published on the medical journals at home or abroad .The staff are also in charge of composing of 6 monographs and participate in the composing of other 32 monographs.
